My goal in the installations is to combine the landscape references and textures with the movement of light and shadows. I am also very interested in making my pieces integrated with the landscape. I often work with other artists, most successfully with my long-time friend and collaborator Margaret Yuko Kimura. We have been working together since 1997 and have done both two-dimensional work and installations together. A link to some of her pieces can be found on the "links" page. Her work, like mine, deals with making a whole out of disparate bits and fragments.
